Awesome stuff here, as this seventy-nine minute album features quite possibly some of Steve Hitchell's deepest and most meditative work to date. Indeed, this is no album for the peak-time dancefloor, however one for those more personal moments in time. By the time you reach the mid-point of this album, you'll already be feeling as though you are in the midst of a warm, tropical rainstorm, cocooned by an almost fluid wall of sound. The peak of this project arrives in the final, title track, The Setting Sun, clocking in at circa twenty-three minutes – a very personal track indeed to its creator, and one that fuses the muted dubby basslines akin to earlier i n t r u s i o n works and these newer, transient, ambient textures. A spectacular release.
